Melina joins Monclova Law as our Senior Immigration Attorney, where she leads with compassion, strategic advocacy, and a steadfast commitment to serving immigrant families. She is passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system while providing personalized guidance every step of the way.
As a Denver native and first‑generation daughter of immigrants, Melina brings a deeply personal understanding to her immigration practice. With more than ten years of experience in both New York City and Colorado, she is uniquely positioned to advocate for individuals navigating humanitarian and family‑based immigration matters.
Melina earned her bachelor’s degrees in Ethnic Studies and Spanish Language & Literature from the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating with honors. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in New York City. Throughout her career, she has worked with premier legal organizations and law firms, serving diverse communities in a wide range of settings.
Her intersectional background and client‑centered approach allow her to secure meaningful, lasting results—helping individuals and families move closer to achieving their American dream.
Outside of her practice, Melina enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, exploring nature, and indulging in true crime stories.
