Maria Monclova

Maria Monclova is the founder of Monclova Law. María is an immigration and family law attorney. She was born in Mexico and since childhood she dreamed of defending the rights of immigrants. Maria attended the University of Denver School of Law and has over 15 years of experience fighting against the deportation and separation of families in this country. Her passion is defending the rights of her immigrant community and ensuring that everyone has equal access to our judicial system regardless of immigration status. In the family law branch, Maria helps clients with divorce and custody cases. In her free time she likes to exercise and watch Mexican soap operas.

Arturo Vazquez

Arturo Vazquez is an avid advocate for racial equality and social change. He attended the University of Denver where he got his Bachelor’s’ degree in Criminology and Master’s Degree in Urban Education. Arturo got his JD from the University of Wyoming College of Law. During his time at there he was actively involved in the International Human Rights clinic, where he got to represent Asylum clients from both Colorado and Wyoming in both defensive and affirmative cases, and got to travel to Houston, TX to attend asylum interviews. He is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, as well as the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Scott Petiya

Scott attended Colorado College and the University of Denver School of Law. At DU I studied International Law and Human Rights. For Scott, immigration is a vital topic of international law and an important way to protect people at risk of human rights violations in other countries. Scott works to defend the human rights of our clients, whether they are at risk in the United States or abroad.

Gloria Manuel

Gloria grew up in Colorado and is a first generation Guatemalan-American. Gloria graduated from the University of Wyoming. Her passion for immigration defense began when she was very young, it was this that led her to pursue a career as a lawyer. Gloria enjoys working with clients from different backgrounds and listening to their stories. In her free time, she likes to go for walks and be reunited with her family.

Fernando Mireles Rodriguez

Fernando graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Fernando was born and raised in Denver Colorado. As he has grown up, his motivation is to help others and protect the rights of immigrant families. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and enjoy time in the outdoors. Fernando is hopeful to one day become a lawyer and continue to defend the rights of many individuals.

Rosita Vazquez

Rosita has worked at the firm for 12 years. She was the first employee of the office and since then continues to help clients. Rosita is from Ciudad Juárez, Mexico and she really likes to dance cumbias. Rosita helps clients with immigration and family cases, she never rests and loves her job!

Aracely Trejo

Aracely is our office manager and paralegal. Aracely was born in Colorado but raised in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. She earned her GED and Associate Diploma from Arapahoe Community College. Aracely comes from an immigrant family and her dream was always to help other immigrant families, since she knows from personal experience the suffering that immigrant families go through. In her spare time, Aracely likes to paint, write, and bake cakes!

Anelis Gonzalez

Anelis studies at Arapahoe Community College. She is  Mexican from the state of Guanajuato and her goal is to be a lawyer in order to defend the human rights of the most vulnerable population, which is immigrants. She loves her work in the office, since she has the opportunity to exercise her passion and fight against injustices in our country.

Adriana Garcia

My name is Adriana, I was born in Ciudad Juárez, I am in the Accounting area, I really like what I do because it gives me the opportunity to help clients and understand the situation they are going through, I am the first person they have contact and I can see that sometimes they arrive with many fears. I am the person who is bothering them a lot, calling them constantly, and I understand how hard they work to achieve the American dream, and that is very satisfying since I know that it is a sacrifice that is worth it.

In my free time I really like to walk with my family, go to the movies, listen to music and dance.

Eliza Orozco

My name is Eliza. I am the data entry clerk at the office. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but I moved to Denver less than a year ago. My parents are from Mexico, and I like to visit whenever I have the opportunity. I love spending time with my family and going on adventures. I have really enjoyed meeting our clients and forming a bond with them. It feels amazing to be a part of the team that helps them on their immigration journeys.

Lenny Alfaro

At Monclova Law, Lenny Alfaro serves as the family law paralegal. Lenny has been assisting the immigrant community for thirteen years. Having gone through the immigration process herself, Lenny is a first-generation Mexican immigrant who understands directly how difficult and frightening it can be to be ignorant of your rights. Lenny has a strong commitment to supporting the immigrant community and ensuring that clients are aware of the family court procedure. Lenny is currently pursuing her AAS in paralegal studies at Front Range Community College (FRCC).

Lenny is a mother of two kids and a pet owner. When Lenny has free time, she enjoys spending it with her spouse and their two kids. They enjoy swimming and hiking. Lenny recognizes the importance of the family.
